Junior Business Analyst

The Junior Business Analyst plays an active role in the day-to-day oversight of project development and execution. They will be an integral part in supporting the team throughout a given project lifecycle. You will aide in documenting both business requirements and comprehensive solutions for a number of projects.

• Under the direction of a supervisor, provide documentation support for requirements gathering; process analysis; gap analysis; design of new functionality; and product testing.
• Participate in project walkthroughs: business requirements gathering, design walkthrough, functional test plans and implementation sessions.
• Develop periodic project progress reports.
• Manage written communications between stakeholders and internal business units.
• Manage and maintain content management and control processes and tools.
• Under direction of a supervisor, assist with the daily management of operational functions of the Project Team, including preparation and minutes for standing meetings, reporting processes, information flow.
• Lead meetings and presentations.
• Conduct due diligence and analysis on selected target companies, including market sizing and competitor research, build financial models and perform high level financial analysis.
• Provide account payable support.

• Multiple tech start-ups across the Ideal Ventures portfolio – including HealthTech, FinTech, PropTech, EdTech, Cybersecurity, SaaS, and more.

• Minimum 1-year related experience which includes project planning, analysis, and implementation.
• University or College Diploma, preferably in Business Administration.
• Extremely strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities to meet deadlines and fluctuating work demands.
• Detail oriented and display a high degree of accuracy.
• Self-Starting: takes independent action and goes beyond what the job or situation requires.
• Results oriented: strives to achieve high levels of individual and organizational performance.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems.

• This is a multi-faceted role where you will be reporting to multiple stakeholders throughout a project lifecycle. You will need to be flexible and be able to switch “hats” seamlessly.
• This is a position in a fast-paced environment; meeting deadlines will require perseverance.
• Annual Salary $55,000 – 60,000
